Learning Drafting:

Here is where you get to effectively communicate all of your ideas. Drafting. Sure it's great to have a bunch of models and assemblies that you can show people, but if you accompany those models with brilliant drawings, success is inevitable. On the commercial side of things, it's important to know that a huge portion of the engineers tasked to work at corporations, big and small, will be working daily with the drafting workbench. DO NOT be the only person at your company that doesn't know CATIA V5 drafting. Watch these videos RIGHT NOW if you haven't already.

GOLDEN NOTE: As the instructor points out several times in these videos, it is very important to never underestimate the power of right clicking. The right click contextual menus that pop up will provide you with an amazing amount of options to work with. Also, it is never a bad idea to make your drawings actually look nice, rather than just functional. You will never hear an engineer say "Oh man, why did this idiot make all of these dimensions easy to read with labels that clearly identify everything?!"
